Who we are

If we do our jobs properly, people have no idea what user experience is — it just works!

But just knowing the tools isn’t enough to be successful. Good UX work is equal parts passion, pragmatism, and politics.

  • If you’re a UX professional looking for confirmation that you’re not mad, that there’s hope, and that other people have had similar crazy experiences to yours and survived, this is the place for you.
  • If you’re a UX practitioner who needs the confidence to advance your career, you’ll find advice based on our experiences.
  • If you’re just curious about UX, this is the place to learn about how things really play out.

We are three friendly user experience researchers who each run our own consulting companies working with Fortune 100 companies and startups. We also all create video training content for LinkedIn Learning.

Amanda Stockwell

Amanda runs Stockwell Strategy, helping organizations understand who their users are, what they need, how that ties into business goals, and how to utilize that information to craft better experiences for everyone involved. She especially likes helping build teams, establishing research processes, and providing training and coaching.

Amanda likes teaching so much that she started offering courses on UX research methods and conducting research in Lean and Agile settings.
